Lawn Bowling in Short Version

THE GREEN

The green is a grassy area measuring approximately 37m. x 37m.
This area contains eight lanes, each 4.3m wide
The green is mowed very short, similar to a golf green

HOW TO PLAY

At one end of a rink a player must roll a Jack at a distance ranging from 21 m. to 35 m.
The skip, at the other end, places the Jack in the middle of the rink.
Each player, alternatively, must stand on a small starting mat and deliver their bowls trying to
get as close as possible near the Jack.

SCORING

When the players have finished rolling their bowls points are awarded to the bowls closest
to the Jack. You then put the score of your team on a scoreboard and one end is then completed.
The bowls are collected, you stay on the same rink and play resumes in the opposite direction.
A game is completed after 12 ends have been played. You add the total points scored in each end to determine the winner…if you would like to know more about the game click here: World Bowls
